Overall, my house is safe to live based on this assessment. I just moved into this house few months ago and this is my first time to live house. I always lived in the apartment before. It is more difficult to take care the house than the apartment based on my experience. Since there is a usually manager for the apartment. Therefore, I feel more responsibility to make my house environment being safe. Also, this assessment reminds me to test for water or lead etc regularly. In terms of foods, I try to use organic products. Every Sunday, the farmer's market opens near by my place. I like to buy foods in particular, vegetables or fruits since they are local. Good thing is that no one smoke in my house, so I don't get exposed by smoking. The one thing I want to improve is that I need to find out the way to kill the insects instead of using Raid spray. My partner freaks out with insects and use the spray a lot, which is harmful for us.
Hi Yeana,
ReplyDeleteI saw on the introduction discussion board that you are in school to become a nurse. I am also a nurse!
It is a good idea to create a disaster plan with your family and have emergency kits at your home incase there is a large-scale disaster. If you work in a hospital, you may need to stay there for several days during such events. My current hospital is encouraging its employees to be prepared. This is important so we can be available to take care of patients while knowing our families are safe and cared for.
Best,
Elena
It appears that your residence is fairly safe from environmental exposure. It is interesting to me that wha really appears to put us at risk, largely comes from our own habits. For instance, the food we choose to eat can bring and environmental exposure into our homes.
